Obsidian Wolves builds, launches and scales digital products for founders and established businesses. We work as the technical side of a company that does not have one yet, or as the extra engineering depth for one that does.
Who we are
A senior engineering team based in Egypt, working with clients across Egypt, the Gulf and international markets. Small by design: the people who scope your project are the people who build it, and there is no layer of account management between you and the engineers.
Our approach
We start from the business decision, not the feature list. Every engagement begins by agreeing what the first release has to prove, then cutting scope until that is reachable in weeks rather than quarters. Everything else goes on a written list for later — visible, not lost.
Engineering philosophy
Boring where it counts and modern where it pays. Typed languages, tests on the paths that carry money or data, infrastructure defined in code, and security decisions made before the first endpoint ships rather than during an incident. We would rather ship a smaller thing properly than a larger thing that needs rebuilding.
Technology
Next.js, React, React Native and TypeScript on the front, Node.js, PostgreSQL and Supabase behind it, deployed on AWS, Vercel and Cloudflare. AI features built on the Anthropic and OpenAI APIs. Payments through Stripe internationally and Paymob, Tap, HyperPay and Moyasar regionally. We pick from that set based on the problem, not on novelty.
How we work
Two-week increments, each ending in something you can open on a real environment. Weekly written updates. A staging URL from the first week. Direct access to the engineers on the project. At handover you receive the repository, the infrastructure accounts and the documentation — the intellectual property is yours in full.
Working bilingually
We design and build in Arabic and English, including right-to-left layout and Arabic typography as first-class concerns rather than a translation pass at the end. Most of our products ship in both languages.
